AI Powered Social Media Plan
Turning Gemini into my campaign co-pilot—because even AI knows when to post a Reel.
Completed: April 2025
Project Purpose
The goal of this project was to create a social media content calendar using AI. I did this with Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro and I focused on developing a marketing plan for Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. I tried to get this as close to business ready as possible.

Tools & Skills
Specifically, I used Google Sheets to store all of the content that I would get from the AI and I would ask Gemini to generate new output and iterative fashion and each time ask more effective questions to improve the output. Here, I used my skills in social media marketing, creative ideation, content planning, and data analysis.
My Role & Contributions
It was a solo project following the requirements as given in the Coursera Project Network. This meant custom creation of spreadsheets, charts, dashboards, and pivot tables. During the project, I created separate content calendars for each platform: YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. I created an idea hub to store all ideas by content platform.
I also created a visual tracker to track the status of deliverables by different roles of the marketing team and I also created a Gantt chart for tracking and timeline management. I also included a page to identify team roles and responsibilities and to find the output of each role for a particular assignment.
Deliverables
In the end, I had a Google Sheets file with three content calendars. This was one for YouTube, one for Facebook, and another for Instagram. I also had detailed schedules for when to post. I had content types, titles, descriptions, and the deadlines for each of the team roles. I included role assignments and performance metrics. Lastly, it had two visual tools including a dashboard of project status and also a Gantt chart for the campaign oversight.

What I Learned
I learned several lessons while making this project. One of them was how to use AI by crafting effective questions and also by providing the correct and well-formatted contextual information that it needs. I reinforced a lesson that each social media platform demands a custom content strategy to maximize effectiveness. The content strategy must align with the platform's culture and features. Lastly, I learned something important regarding scalability of marketing campaigns and that is having a unified content calendar greatly helps.
